TONOTA JSS STUDENT IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER SCHOOL BEATING
A 13-year-old student at Tonota Junior Secondary School is in critical condition after being assaulted by fellow students yesterday.
The victim was found unconscious and had been missing overnight, away from home.
He is currently unable to speak.
His sister confirmed that the attack occurred at the school, with other students identifying the perpetrators.
The boy was immediately taken to Masedi Clinic for treatment.
“Yes, I went there,” his sister said. “He is in a bad condition.
“He was beaten by other students at school yesterday.”
“They were identified by other students who were there. He can’t speak for now.”
Medical personnel at Masedi Clinic are working to stabilise the boy’s condition, which remains serious.
School authorities and the boy’s parents are cooperating in an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
